I've chosen to use the spelling "Jourei" when writing generically about the energy itself, or about my own use of it — because there are many different organizations spelling the word in various ways, and because "Jourei" is the correct spelling according to the rules for Romanizing Japanese kanji. My intent in teaching "Jourei" is to offer a clear and simple understanding of the energy (plus the ability to use it) — stripped of the religious trappings presented by various organizations (Johrei, Joray, Jyorei, etc.).
A "purifying spirit" energy and a healing method using it, developed by Mokichi Okada (Meishu-sama) and channeled through Bodhisattva Kannon (Kwan Yin / Kuan Yin); also a Way of life — including Nature Farming, appreciation of natural beauty, and making art.
