I've chosen to use the spelling "Jourei" when writing generically about the energy itself, or about my own use of it — because there are many different organizations spelling the word in various ways, and because "Jourei" is the correct spelling according to the rules for Romanizing Japanese kanji. My intent in teaching "Jourei" is to offer a clear and simple understanding of the energy (plus the ability to use it) — stripped of the religious aspects presented by various organizations (Johrei, Joray, Jyorei, etc.).
A method of healing and spiritual awakening, using Jourei ("purifying spirit") energy, developed by Mokichi Okada (Meishu-sama) and channeled through Bodhisattva Kannon (Kwan Yin / Kuan Yin). Officially a religion, it includes Nature Farming, appreciation of natural beauty, and making art. This is the method taught by Johrei Fellowship.
